    Founded in 1975, we are a family business, owned and operated by the Kogan Family. In addition to serving local customers with 7 retail stores, we work with some of the biggest businesses and organizations in Arizona, including the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the Phoenix Suns, Shea Homes, and more. Our amazing team includes picture framers who have dedicated 10, 15, and even 20 years to the business. Together, we fuse old-school craftsmanship and attention to detail with modern day technology to make amazing designs attainable, affordable and most importantly, memorable.

    A Note from our CEO

    In 1975, my parents, Ben & Evelyn Kogan, opened Hall of Frames in Tower Plaza Mall in Phoenix, Arizona. The suite, being a very long and narrow space, lined with frames humbly named itself: Hall of Frames.

    My father didn’t have a background in picture framing, nor did he intend to pursue it. It was more of a happy accident!  A lover of fine art and paintings, he was commissioning local artists to paint portraits from photographs, and his customers were constantly asking him, “how do I hang it?” Like any good entrepreneur, he took this problem and ran with it. With little to no experience, he enlisted the help of me and my brother to learn custom picture framing, and after a year of trials and tribulations, we finally got the hang of it!

    Our mission was simple in the beginning: great design, high-quality materials, exceptional customer service and value prices. By simply focusing on those core values, the company grew quickly and is now the largest family-owned custom picture framing company in Arizona.

    Hall of Frames: A History

    1975

    Ben and Evelyn opened our first store

    It was in Tower Plaza Mall, selling souvenirs, gifts, and custom painted portraits. The portraits were popular, and Ben’s customers asked him “how do I hang it?”. He changed the store to the Hall of Frames and solved the problem.
    1986

    Jay Kogan took over the company

    The reins were handed down to Ben’s son, Jay. Ben and Evelyn were both happy to retire!
    1997

    Picture Hanging service began

    We leveled up our add-on services and started to officially offer picture hanging delivery and install in our customer’s homes and businesses.
    1999

    Paradise Picture Frame opened

    To help the company grow, Jay took a gamble and purchased a stand alone building with a warehouse and built a second brand called Paradise Picture Frame.
    2000

    Hallofframes.com website was born

    The internet has never been the same. At least, we like to think so.
    2004

    Commercial business launched

    We started to design and build custom framed mirrors for Shea Homes, and the commercial business was born.
    2010

    Laser engraving service began

    We were laser focused on making our products customizable; and now offer engraving on plates, frames, mats, ornaments and more.
    2011

    Contractor license acquired

    To deliver and install for our commercial clients, we needed to acquire a contractor license. And yes, we framed the license.
    2014

    E-commerce business launched

    We launched an online shop to serve customers nationwide. Who doesn’t love custom framing from their couch?
    2015
